Community Service Opportunities for Graduate Students

Community service is a great way to give back to and learn about your local community. It also gives you an opportunity to develop new skills, meet new people, and learn more about yourself. Each one of us draws support and resources from our community in many ways. Getting involved in community service allows to you share your time and skills with others who desperately need it.

Rackham serves as a catalyst for students to connect with, build, and sustain meaningful service opportunities in the Ann Arbor and local areas. Whether you are interested in volunteering with your friends at Rackham, or you are interested in meeting new people with similar interests these events will be a great way to get involved and have some fun! We will typically be holding these events each semester on a Friday or on the weekend. The time commitment may range from one hour up to the whole day depending on your flexibility, the type of service activity, and its location. Group sizes may vary based on the needs of the sponsoring organization. Rackham will provide transportation for special events held outside of Ann Arbor. Refreshments, light snacks or a meal will be provided depending on the event. You will hear more about upcoming community service opportunities regularly through e-mail.
