2011 Research Symposium

2011 AGEP / Summer Institute Research Symposium

The Impacts of Research in a Diverse Society Research Symposium was born out of a vision to bring together graduate students who represent a variety of academic disciplines, geographical areas, cultural experiences, lifestyles and intellectual pursuits but share a common enterprise—research. The Symposium would create an incubator for interdisciplinary discussions, intellectual exchange and cross-fertilization of ideas around how their research can have an impact on a diverse society. Considering these impacts often leads not only to a greater appreciation of one’s own research, but can also lead to further research insights. The Symposium includes poster and oral presentations.
