Intergroup Relations
The Program on A social justice education program on the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus. As a joint venture of the College of Literature, Science, and Arts and the Division of Student Affairs, IGR works proactively to promote understanding of intergroup relations inside and outside of the classroom. Multidisciplinary courses offered by IGR are distinguished by their experiential focus, teaching philosophy, and incorporation of dialogical models of communication.

JustConnect
A community website that aims to unite members, both past and present, of social justice programs at the University of Michigan. JustConnect allows current and former members of these programs to find and engage each other, find resources related to social justice and maintain ties to the organizations.

Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives
The Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI) is dedicated to supporting the University of Michigan in its ongoing commitment to create and foster an intellectually and culturally diverse campus community. To this end, OAMI works collaboratively and cooperatively with the campus and external constituencies to develop initiatives that enrich the academic, social, cultural, and personal development of students.

Office of Institutional Equity
A unit of University Human Resources (UHR), The Office of Institutional Equity provides the delivery of programming and services for faculty, staff, students, and management to support diversity, inclusiveness, equal access, equitable treatment, and cultural understanding and competency. The Office provides training and consultation on achieving and supporting diversity in the workplace, on Americans with Disabilities Act issues, and on preventing and resolving discrimination and discriminatory harassment. The Office also provides support to a number of constituency groups.

Office of Student Conflict Resolution
OSCR provides a variety of programs and services designed to suupport a safe, just and peaceful community, and to help Michigan Studetns learn how to manage and resolve conflict peacefully. OSCR manages the U-M community's response to student misconduct and administers the Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities, a community-owned expression of Michigan's values that outlines both the rights that U-M studetns enjoy as well as responsibilites they accept as members of this commuinty. OSCR also provides mediation and alternative dispute resolution ("ADR") services to all Michigan students, free of charge.

Diversity Documentaries
Rackham Graduate School sponsored the production of a series of documentaries about issues in student life. Hear our students talk about: their experiences with depression; attitudes to disabilities; conflicting views about the value of diversity; what has changed since the decision in Brown v. Board of Education. Take a look at sample clips from each documentary. All are available in VHS or DVD for a minimal price.

Faculty Pride Pages
Rackham School of Graduate Studies worked with the Lambda Graduate Association, the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Faculty Alliance, and the Spectrum Center to develop a directory of LGBT faculty willing to serve as resources for LGBT graduate and professional students. UM Kerberos Login is required.

International Spectrum
International Spectrum is a collaborative website by the International Center and the Spectrum Center. The University of Michigan strives to take a global perspective: attracting students from around the world and promoting international learning experiences. LGBT Faculty Alliance
In 1992 a University-wide group of faculty and deans formed the University of Michigan Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Faculty Alliance (UMFA). The Alliance helps to address the needs of new faculty, providing them with social support on their arrival and with advice and support for scholarly work on lesbian and gay issues. The group also works on University policies and curriculum and helps meet the needs of students. Each fall the group holds an annual reception.

LambdaGrads
LambdaGrads provides social, education, activist, and support activities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and ally graduate and professional students (in any academic unit) at U-M.

Rackham I-Connect Program
I-Connect is an initiative by Rackham Graduate School to assist international graduate students in their first-year adjustment to the University of Michigan, while also providing an opportunity for existing University of Michigan graduate students to connect with students from around the world.

Race and Ethnicity Resources

Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs
The Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs and the William Monroe Trotter Multicultural Center serve as resources of support for diverse student populations in our campus community. We strive to engage and empower students in all of their identities by implementing programs that foster intercultural leadership and strengthen community development. In our ongoing commitment to social justice, we seek to create a campus that is inclusive to all students.

The Michigan AGEP Alliance
Four major Ph.D. institutions in the state of Michigan have established an Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate Program to advance under-represented minority students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), as well as, the social behavioral and economic science programs (SBE).

Students of Color of Rackham (SCOR)
SCOR is a network for Rackham graduate and professional students at the University of Michigan. SCOR is dedicated to the social, cultural, and academic well-being of students of color of African, Asian, Latino, and Native American descent, and also welcomes students of other cultures, ethnicities, and international origins.
