Rackham Graduate School will close for the Thanksgiving holiday at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 26 and we will open again at 8:00am on Monday, December 1.

East and West Conference Rooms

A construction project to replace the Rackham Building’s aging copper roof is scheduled to take place May 4th through August 28th, 2015. Please be advised that construction hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. At times the work will be noisy and smelly, and it will be difficult to predict this in advance. Because the construction crew will be using the terrace to access the roof it will be closed for the summer. We are happy to schedule events during this time, we regret that construction work cannot be stopped for events.

The East and West Conference Rooms on the fourth floor are used for a wide variety of events. Mirror images of each other, the Conference Rooms are set up auditorium style with a lectern at the front of the room. Excellent spaces for meetings, lectures, receptions, meals, and as conference breakout rooms. Terrace access is available just outside of these rooms.

The deposit is due when the contract is signed. The deposit may be retained by Rackham if the room (or its contents) is damaged or needs additional cleaning, or if the reservation is not cancelled by the cancellation deadline. If a student organization fails to cancel a room reservation at least 14 days prior to the scheduled event (45 days for the Amphitheatre and/or Assembly Hall), the group will forfeit their deposit.
