PLAN, Manage Your Professional Development as a Graduate Student
SROP fellows are expected to pursue substantive research projects over the course of the program. They are required to make a full-time commitment to their research (number of lab, library, or research hours vary by project, discipline, and faculty but may range from 30-40 hours per week). In addition, full and active participation in mandatory weekly meetings, seminars and events is required.
A GRE (Graduate Record Examination) Preparation Class offered by Kaplan is optional. Should a student elect to take the arranged GRE Preparation Class, attendance at all sessions will also be considered mandatory. Participants will give a poster presentation of their work at an annual CIC - SROP conference to be held in July 2010 and a U-M symposium.
