Requesting Recruiting Reports from MPathways

These instructions are supplemental to the already existing training you should have received from MPathways and their help desk. Please be sure to refer to your documentation regarding access and technological issues.

Queries prepared by Rackham for Recruiting Prospects (using Business Objects)

The Rackham Prospects Entry Procedure document indicates what Rackham enters into MPathways from recruitment fairs, name exchanges, websites, etc.

Predefined reports of Top Scholars

Use the following path to request a pre-defined report of top scholars:

  • Develop Enrollment
  • Recruit Prospective Students
  • Report
  • Prospect Roster
  • Prospect Roster
  • Add (or Update/Display)
  • Enter an existing Run Control ID or create a name for a new one. Click OK.

The Prospect Roster Panel

Report Options

Choose either:

  • By Career, Program and Plan (enabling you to choose specific departments); or
  • By Career, Academic Interest

Other Choices on the Panel

  • Academic Institution: UMICH
  • Recruiting Center: RACK
  • Admit Type: *
  • Academic Career GRAC
  • Academic Program *
  • Academic Plan *
  • Terms *
  • Academic Interest *
  • Ethnic Groups *
  • Minimum GPA *

*Enter your choice of values

Prospect Roster (Top Scholar) Panel

  • This panel will allow you to enter particular test scores (i.e., GREs) and their minimum value that you may wish to use.
  • Click: SAVE
  • Click: RUN

The Process Scheduler Request Panel

Select or enter:

  • Run Location: Server
  • Server: PSUNX
  • Output Destination: File
  • File/Printer: %%temp%%
  • Click: OK

The Process Monitor panel should appear next (if not, go to GO - People Tools - Process Monitor). The status of your report will be indicated on this screen. When it reaches SUCCESS go to your Vista Plus for Windows.

Your home files on MPathways will appear on the left hand side. Double click on your "Personal Folder." On the right side will appear your various reports that you have requested. Double click to open them. These can be saved to your hard drive or disk as needed.
