Are you concerned about a mental health issue but don’t know where to start?
Do you have a friend or a loved one who has a mental health concern and want to find out how to support him or her?
MiTalk, (pronounced “my talk”), is a tool designed specifically for U-M students to improve mental health and wellness, which offers online professional mental health screenings to help you learn more about a particular mental health condition and how it might be affecting you. These screenings are simple and completely anonymous. Basic demographic information, such as age, gender, race, student type, are needed to get you started, but no personal-identifying information is required.
MiTalk offers anonymous online screenings for depression, alcohol use, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress or anxiety concerns.
MiTalk also features skill-building tools to help you manage stress and academic life, as well as digitally recorded workshops, lectures, and relaxation exercises. To learn more about what MiTalk has to offer, visit the MiTalk website.
