Governor Jennifer Granholm has signed a proclamation declaring the week of April 20, 2009 as Graduate Education Week in Michigan. On April 23, Michigan Graduate Education Day takes place at the State Capitol in Lansing. Five Rackham doctoral students are joining more than 50 other graduate students from fifteen colleges and universities who will display their research and talk with legislators about the contributions that graduate education make to Michigan.
