The Center for the Education of Women – with its mission of service, research and advocacy – is nationally recognized as a catalyst for change as well as a welcoming place for individuals. CEW provides counseling and educational programs to women and men regarding academic, career and life issues; conducts social research on policy and gender issues; and advocates for improved policy and practice.
The University of Michigan Spectrum Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information and advocacy services working to create and maintain an open, safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, and staff, their families and friends, and the campus community at large.
The Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC) provides educational and supportive services for the University of Michigan community related to sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, sexual harassment, and stalking.

SAPAC offers a number of services to the University of Michigan community including education and training, information and referral, crisis intervention, advocacy, and special events.
Night Ride is a late-night, shared-ride taxi service organized and funded by the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority. The AATA contracts with Blue Cab to operate the service. The AATA initiated Night Ride in response to the community's need for safe, low-cost transportation late at night. Anyone may use Night Ride, but all Night Ride trips are limited to within the city of Ann Arbor only.
Department of Public Safety Escort Service
The Department of Public Safety provides escort service to all members of the University community in an emergency situation when other resources are not available or not appropriate for a particular situation. Upon receipt of a call, a uniformed Public Safety Officer will respond. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 763-1131.
Graduate parents constitute a vibrant part of our learning community at the University of Michigan. Rackham believes in supporting graduate parents both academically and socially. Because each graduate parent has distinct needs, Rackham has designed a rich variety of programs and events, such as get-togethers, childcare information, and support groups. Abundant resources exist for parents in the Ann Arbor area; however, finding them can be a daunting task. Rackham Graduate School provides information to help parents quickly transition into life at the University of Michigan and in Ann Arbor.
The programs and services available through the Work/Life Resource Center exist to assist staff, faculty, and students achieve work/life integration.
The Work/Life Resource Center is a starting point for people as they begin to investigate resources for eldercare, childcare, and other tools for work/life balance, such as flexible scheduling and child care leaves of absence.
The Students With Children website is dedicated to the needs of students at the University of Michigan who juggle parenting or elder care, study and work. It is maintained by the Work Life Resource Center (WLRC).
