What It Will Cost
Each year, the Office of Financial Aid provides cost estimates for students at U-M. For single graduate students, this "budget" for the 2009-010 academic year has been estimated at $33,195 for Michigan residents and $49,909 for non-Michigan residents. These figures include estimates for tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, and miscellaneous personal expenses. (Tuition and fees for students in some programs will be higher). Actual tuition, fees, and room and board rates are established each year in July for the coming year. Tuition increases in the past have ranged from 2.9% to 3.8% each year, but potential increases for 2009-10 have not yet been determined.
