When will I receive my immigration documents?
It is important that we know whether you have made a commitment to enroll in order to prepare your I-20 (for F-1 visa) or DS-2019 (for J-1 visa) immigration document.
Once you make a decision:
- Indicate your response online at Wolverine Access and click “New and Prospective Student Business.” (To complete this process, you must have previously created a U-M Friend Account).
- If you have not previously used this website to verify your application data and view your application status you must first create a U-M Friend Account. Click here if you have questions about creating a U-M Friend Account.
Once you have provided all required documents needed to prepare your immigration document, and we have received your intention to enroll, we will begin the preparation of your I-20 or DS-2019.
- Once we begin the preparation of your I-20 or DS-2019 please allow a minimum of 10 business days for this document to be prepared and mailed from our office.
- The immigration document will be mailed air-mail unless you request express mail delivery and provide the necessary information on your Affidavit of Financial Support form. Please be aware that it can take up to four (4) weeks for documents to reach their destination when the delivery method used is air-mail.
After you have accepted the admission offer and we have received the financial documents, track the progress of your immigration documents on Wolverine Access under New and Prospective Student Business.
You will be able to:
- View Rackham’s receipt of your financial documents
- Check your personal and dependent data to confirm that it matches your passport exactly. If there is any discrepancy, please notify us immediately.
- Confirm that your immigration documents have been processed.
