Before beginning her Ph.D. training in Ann Arbor, Yuhe obtained her dental degree and M.S. degree in School of Stomatology, Peking University in China. Her research focuses on the secretory stage of enamel formation. Her dissertation project explores the structural and functional characteristics of enamelin in the process of enamel formation. She expects to graduate in winter 2010.
