Prior to pursuing her Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Sandra worked for Conservation International-Philippines and the Center for Tropical Forest Science-Arnold Arboretum, studying forest dynamics. Her current research is focused on determining the biogeographical history of plants across the many islands in the Philippine Archipelago. She expects to graduate in 2010.
