Mollie Callahan’s dissertation examines representations of traditional medical expertise among Kallawaya healers in highland Bolivia and the politics of social reproduction in a global era. After completing her degree in May 2009, she hopes to pursue a career in higher education that combines research, teaching, and mentorship. Outside of academia, she enjoys spending time with her Argentine husband and their 3 1/2 year old son.
