- Rackham Merit Fellowship
Eligibility
All recipients must be students in the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies. Citizens of the U.S., Permanent Resident Aliens and non-US/international students are eligible for these awards.
Services Not To Be Required
These funds shall under no circumstances be used to pay the recipient for services. Offers made by departments to students shall indicate clearly that an award of these funds constitutes a fellowship.
No Deadline Offers
The University has no deadline relating to the making of offers to prospective students. However, prospective students may not be required to accept an offer prior to April 15. Please see the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) resolution regarding the offer of financial aid to entering students. A hard copy of the resolution should be included with all financial offers to prospective students.
Funds Released by Early Terminations
If a student resigns a fellowship prior to the scheduled end of his tenure, the balance of the award is at the disposal of the department for other awards within the fiscal year.
