    Come celebrate the New Year with your fellow Rackham graduate students at the Winter Welcome Celebration on Monday, January 8, 5:30pm at the Rackham building. The evening will include a reception, networking activities, free head-shots, giveaways and more. Wear business attire if you would like to have a head shot.

    With the increased visibility of issues of DEI, employers are beginning to consider how their employees contribute to the diversity of the institution. Many academic employers have begun to request a diversity statement as part of the application process.

    In honor of the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rackham Graduate School is proud to present the inaugural King Talks. These talks by graduate students will be 10 to 15 minute TED-style presentations that are related to the annual U-M MLK Symposium theme, which this year is “The Fierce Urgency of Now.”

    Our panel of experts will discuss their experiences in navigating their LGBTQ identities in the academy. Participants will also be given strategies to assist them with their journey.
