Dissertation Embargo Request
The Rackham Graduate School requires that all dissertations be made publicly available upon degree conferral. In limited circumstances, there may be reason to delay the public access to a dissertation for a short period of time. Please refer to the embargo policy for guidelines. Graduate students must complete the Dissertation Embargo Request form, obtain approval from the dissertation chair (or if co-chairs, both must approve), and then submit to the Graduate School. The form should be submitted no later than the post-defense meeting. Students will be informed via e-mail of the graduate school’s decision. Students must also note the embargo request on p.3, Section TR-2 on the ProQuest/UMI Publishing agreement.
