The East Lounge

The East Lounge is a place to relax with friends, study in groups, enjoy a snack or beverage, or just hang out. This room has wireless connectivity for laptops. The Vending Room is located adjacent to the East Lounge and a kitchen with a microwave and sink is just across the hall. Feel free to bring your own food or drinks.

The Reading Room

The Reading Room is reserved for quiet study. It’s furnished with overstuffed armchairs and large tables featuring power outlets. Food and drink are not allowed in the Reading Room to help maintain its historic elements, but bottled water is permissible.

The West Study Lounge

Like the East Lounge, this room is also equipped with comfortable furniture. Graduate students in Rackham programs may book the 2nd floor West Study Hall South Alcove for study group meetings for the current semester, at least 3 days in advance. The alcove seats 18 people at a boardroom style table and there is no cost to Rackham graduate student study groups.

U-M Wireless Network at Rackham

The U-M Wireless Network is available to anyone who has a valid University of Michigan uniqname and password. The network is available in designated areas of the second floor and the fourth floor of the Rackham Building. Information Technology Central Services provides easy instructions to get started.
