CRLT and Rackham offer an intercampus mentorship program through which graduate students can meet faculty at nearby colleges and universities, work together on teaching or research, and learn about campus life at places other than U-M. For those interested in more long-term mentoring, there are opportunities for more intensive mentorships at both Kalamazoo and Oberlin Colleges. Many of these mentorships lead to future career opportunities, and are an excellent opportunity for networking.
One such career opportunity is the Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at Oberlin and Kalamazoo Colleges. For graduate students in the humanities or humanistic social sciences, the Oberlin College/Kalamazoo College Postdoctoral Teaching Fellows Program offers an exciting opportunity for U-M graduates to develop both their teaching skills and research agenda at a liberal arts college. The Mellon Foundation funds four postdoctoral fellowships each year at Oberlin and Kalamazoo Colleges.
