One of the premier university art museums in the country, the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) is a meeting place for the arts, bridging campus and community, visual art and contemporary culture, scholarship and accessibility. It’s near universal collections and approximately 93,000 square-foot facility allow it to function as a critical campus and community resource as well as a midsized regional museum. UMMA presents a diverse and dynamic lineup of visual, performing, literary, and film arts year-round in multiple spaces throughout the Museum, extending and contextualizing the art on view in its collections and special exhibitions galleries.
