Who is Eligible to Participate in Winter Commencement?
- Ph.D. and D.M.A. recipients who completed all requirements by October 25th may participate. Ph.D. and D.M.A. recipients who previously completed all requirements in a previous term (Summer 2011 or before) may also participate. Remember to R.S.V.P. since those participating will be “hooded” during the ceremony. If you haven’t already received an e-mail asking you to register for commencement, you should shortly. Please e-mail oard.questions@umich.edu with any questions or if you want to be added to the list of attendees.
- Master’s students who already received a Summer (August) 2011 degree, or applied for a Fall (December) 2011 degree, are eligible to participate in commencement this December. Master’s students are not required to officially register to attend.
Winter Commencement is a University-wide graduation ceremony held in December in Crisler Arena. The ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m. and concludes approximately at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are not required for this program and seating is general admission.
