Funding for Conference Travel

Erin Cain

Conferences are valuable for your academic and professional development. Rackham graduate students who are presenting or performing at a conference are eligible for a conference travel grant once a year.

The Rackham Conference Travel Grant is intended to provide opportunities for Rackham graduate students to become familiar with, and participate in the life of their academic professions. As part of the University’s commitment to advancing international research and training, the International Institute provides funding for 30 awards to international destinations. Your graduate program may help fund your attendance to conferences even if you are not a presenter. Occasionally, organizations hosting the conference offer student rates, work opportunities and/or competitions or scholarships to help students attend.

If you have questions about funding, please contact the Rackham Graduate School Fellowships Office at 734-764-8119 or flwships@umich.edu. We’re here to help you!
