With 25 years of Foreign Service experience, Jim provides advice and guidance to U-M students about civil and Foreign Service careers, internships, and fellowships.

Diplomat in Residence Jim Ellickson-Brown will conduct an information session for students who are considering taking the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT), which will be offered in February 2012. In addition to providing an overview of the FSOT, Mr. Ellickson-Brown will discuss the structure of the Foreign Service, the benefits and challenges associated with this career path, and strategies/options available to those considering it.
