Summer Temporary Positions Open at Rackham

Graduate Student Success is in need of six (6) part-time Student Services Assistants to provide assistance with the execution of the Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) and Summer Institute (SI). Participants in SROP and SI are outstanding students who are underrepresented in their fields of study and/or who have a demonstrated commitment to diversity. SROP participants are undergraduates who are interested in pursuing doctoral studies and are from colleges and universities across the nation. SI students are incoming U-M doctoral students who have received a Rackham Merit Fellowship. The period of employment is from May 1 through August 31, 2012.…

Summer Research Opportunity Program: Applications for Summer 2012

Rackham Graduate School is currently accepting applications for the Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) for summer 2012. Applications will be accepted between November 1, 2011 and February 13, 2012. SROP gives undergraduates from colleges and universities across the country the opportunity to work on a faculty-mentored research project for eight weeks during the summer while they live on and learn about the Ann Arbor campus. Students from a wide variety of disciplines take part in the eight-week program hosted by Rackham every summer. Applications Accepted Starting November 1: Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society

The Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society was created to honor scholars who are committed to making significant contributions to their field(s) of study and to the positive engagement of that knowledge in society. Bouchet scholars have a strong commitment to improving the lives and conditions of their communities, and to contributing to the diversity of academia. This year, applications and nominations for the Bouchet Society will be accepted between November 1, 2011 and December 15, 2011.
