Zachery Gizicki, master’s student in Natural Resources and Environment, spent his summer in Greece, researching the ecological effects of feral goats on Mediterranean island communities and the possible consequences of their removal. His research costs were supported by the Rackham Summer Award. “Without this funding, the airfare and all of the many boat and ferry costs would have been very difficult. Not to mention helping out with food costs and hotel stays!”
Rackham’s sole priority is to support graduate students.
Gifts to Rackham help us support graduate students throughout their years on campus. In the Victors for Michigan campaign, our primary goal is to provide student funding through fellowships, conference travel grants, research awards, or summer stipend funding. Generous support from donors also provides innovative programs, services, activities and community-building social events that support graduate student achievement and professional development.
Thanks to you, these graduate students–and so many others–will achieve their dreams, and change the world.
