Assistant Dean Homer C. Rose, Jr.
Assistant Dean for Academic Programs
Dean Rose’s particular responsibilities are to:
- Oversee the Graduate School’s application and review process for faculty grants and fellowships.
- Coordinate the development of proposals for new academic programs and for making changes to existing programs.
- Provide staff support to the University’s Honorary Degree Committee.
- Coordinate the work of the Rackham Board of Governors (which oversees the Rackham Endowment) and the Rackham Executive Board (which sets policies for the Graduate School’s administrative operations).
- Manage the process of data production in support of annual allocations of Rackham student support not distributed by faculty committees (e.g., Block Grant funds and Rackham First-Year Fellowships).
- Assist the Graduate Dean in the allocation of discretionary funds.
